Ekata Coffee in Kerala, India are a quality obsessed team of professionals who have an ambition to take Indian specialty coffee to the world.

Made up of seven childhood friends Ekata was founded in 2016. Their goals was to see single origin, shade grown coffee in biodiverse terroir processed to international standards of quality. In India Coffee is most notably grown in the Western Ghats, an epic mountain range spread over Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The Western Ghats are an ideal place to grow coffee due to climate and terroir and is considered to be the birthplace of Coffee in India. Ekata’s long term vision is to see all coffee production in the Western and Eastern Ghats becoming organic, which they aim to achieve through the spreading of speciality coffee in the region.

Ekata’s passion for innovation in processing methods, their experimentations with anaerobic fermentation and coffee cherries being fermented with other fruits create some increcible exciting and exotic flavour profiles.
